George Jowett’s Key to Might and Muscle
13 Mar 2010
From http://www.oldtimestrongman.com – George Jowett’s timeless training advice is as true today as it was when it was written in 1926…
Jowett was one of the most famous of the oldtime strongmen, exhibiting impressive levels of strength at a time when men were measured by their might, and inspiring others to follow in his footsteps.
As a young boy, he was told by doctors that he would be lucky to reach his 15th birthday. Jowett defied the odds and exhibited a commitment to physical superiority that serves as an example of what hard work, persistence, and smart training can do for anyone that really wants to become strong.
In addition to being an expert on specific methods of building strength, Jowett was a fantastically entertaining writer. Pick up a copy of “Key to Might and Muscle” and you’ll know immediately what I’m talking about…I dare you to put it down after reading just a few of his stories.
