   You know, they want to look like what they want to sleep with.

   I have a tattoo but I hardly look like I stepped out of prison! LOL.

   Maybe they’re just experimenting with a certain style. And we do have that ridiculous myth that so-called "straight" and "butch" gay men are more attractive so that’s probably what it is.

   And it’s probably today’s answer to yesterday’s leather queen with the mustache, denim and chaps. Today we’ve got the prison look.

   Lmao, what part of NYC are you talking about? Dude, the gay ones I see are totally flaming. Sides in jail, most go in straight…the thing about jail is that there are no women! And most guys are in for a looooong time.

   I am a former prison employee & tatooing at that prison & many other prisons is an infraction. Having already been tatooed prior to being incarcerated in prison is another story. As for why gay men prefer the tatooed look, I haven’t a clue.

   I think it might have to do with insecurity. Many of them might have grown up being the scrawny sissy when they were in Elementary/Jr High/ High School and as a result when they grow up they try to make themselves the buff macho man they couldn’t be when they were kids. I don’t think its just a NYC thing. The gay men in Dallas (Where I am right now.) are doing the same thing as well. Its really funny how they all look like tough thugs that could kick your @$$ in 3 seconds but still talk and act like Paul Lynde. Every time I go to JRs its like somebody put Chris Crocker’s brain into Vin Diesel’s or Jon Cena’s body.

   It’s playing with "masculine" stereotypes. Remember the Village People? They took the "ideals" of masculinity and basically made it into parody. The funniest part is that not everyone got the joke…

   It’s possible that some of these tatooed, prison-types are about to unwittingly do the same.

    Tattoos attract the people’s eyes,maybe because of it,or because of the myth of the tattoos being sexy (depending on where,what and why),or maybe they just wanna look rude,macho style….thou they could be queenies…
