		<description>Yes, they are necessary.  But, the clue is in the name.  All they are are supplements to a healthy diet.  A good diet, with lots of protein, healthy fat and some carbs, will go a long way to giving you what you need to gain mass.  But, if you&#039;re going to the effort to train hard, you do need to reward yourself and supplement your body with pure protein, as found in whey protein shakes.  There are lots of other supplements, but the most important, by far, is whey protein.  And if you buy it from any sports shop its completely safe.  It ranges in price from cheap to very expensive.  Remember, you get what you pay for.

		<description>Well, it depends on your diet. I don&#039;t advise you to buy creatine, steroids or stuff like that. But just having a whey protein shake after each workout won&#039;t hurt, it will improve results. And you don&#039;t need to hesitate, it&#039;s completely safe, it&#039;s only a supplement, not a drug. It&#039;s not that expensive, usually for around 15, 20 bucks you can get a 30 - 40 serving whey protein bottle. If you workout every 3 days (which is a lot if you do it correctly), it should last you about 3 months, give or take. As people say here, it&#039;s not necessary, but it helps. Also, don&#039;t skip your breakfast (egg-white omelet is great for days you work out, gives you a lot of energy) and make sure to have plenty of milk and yogurt, and protein filled foods such as chicken.

It makes sure you meet your protein requirments for the day, so your muscles can repair themselves properly, and thus grow bigger. when you lift weights, you&#039;re tearing the muscles so obviously if you&#039;re not taking int he right stuff, you&#039;re not going to see any changes. Try and get an isolate instead of a concentrate. http://www.myprotein.co.uk is an EXCELLENT site. You can get 1kg of whey isolate for under £20 - you can&#039;t get much better than that! You could probably stretch it out to last you a 3wks-month.I&#039;m a girl and I&#039;ve been using it and it definately works. My arms are solid!
