SteroidsAreForLosers/steroidsR 4losers/superpredatorr (all the same? “person”,? for lack of a better word)…a pathetic example of a little circus freak, grotesque and with an? incredibly? underdeveloped and highly unattractive body most closely resembling that? of a VERY sick prepubescent girl.

Check my page for? info about? this? afterbirth.

    Pictures don’t lie, …
Pictures don’t lie, Shawn was complete perfection and ‘97 was one of his best years ever.

I personally feel that Nasser was at his best in ‘96.

    Youre insane. Ray …
Youre insane. Ray wasnt nearly as dense or as cut in 97. If he showed up in 99 shape in 97 he wouldve clearly won but he was far from. Nasser had better pecs, shoulders, thighs, calves and arms than dorian in 97. His back was far from “no back” To say Ray wouldve won is literally insane, Drinking a little too much Kool-aid arent we

    1997 Shawn should …
1997 Shawn should have won, no doubt.

“No Back” Nasser should have never beaten Shawn any year.

    Flex was simply a …
Flex was simply a part time half hearted bodybuilder and is simply not in the same class of competitor as Shawn Ray. Ray is the very best bodybuilder to never have won a Sandow. Levrone is of course a close second. Flex isnt even in the top 5 of bodybuilders who have never won. Labrada got so incredibley hosed in 1990 it is sickening. Haney shouldve finished 5th at best and yet wins the enitre contest…total bs. 97 Nasser beats Dorian. 01 Cutler beats Ronnie. Brutal judging kills me

    The judges pick the …
The judges pick the winner, why would you not do what they want? That’s like going for a job interview and not doing what the employer wants. Who’s going to hire you? Who?? You say Ronnie ruined his physique, but he has 8 Mr. Os so I think he did fine.

Shawn never sacrificed his health?? Bro he did steroids just like the rest of them and other things I’m sure. We have an objective measurement of what is better and that is wins and Shawn has no wins at the O. Maybe he should try naturals, haha!

  13. theshooter2000

    losing competitors …
losing competitors asked then the losers would win. Good thing they didn’t as it would make them look real bad. I’m 5′7 and took a pic with Ronnie and he’s about an inch taller than me.

Arnold suggested to all bodybuilders that they train for power, strength, density and a mental edge at least once a week like the champions of old. Ronnie listened and he won. Obviously Shawn’s techniques didn’t work well enough for him to win the O.
Mass isn’t everything, but it does help and it helped ronnie

    Look at the Battle …
Look at the Battle for Olympia dvds then look at Ronnie’s dvd this guy is the only guy who enjoys his workout. Flex and Shawn both have different attitudes in what they do and I think the fact that Ronnie enjoys it and went to the limit is what made his physique stand out.

Haney and Ronnie for sure deserved their olympia titles. No one had the back of either of these two guys and particularly there were no real challengers during Haney’s era (maybe Tom Platz).

If the IFBB did what all of the

    Nobody who looks …
Nobody who looks pregnant should ever win the Mr. Olympia, Mr. Olympia is supposed to be about the perfect physique.

  16. drwdak

    2010 Mar 03 16

    what Bodybuilding …
what Bodybuilding is all about. Shawn never ruined his physique. Shawn had a vision of what he wanted to look like and didn’t let the judges dictate what he was going to look like.

By putting “more effort in his quest to gain the most muscle mass”, Ronnie not only ended his career, but ruined his physique as well.

Ronnie looked MUCH better before he won the Olympia.

Shawn also never would have sacrificed his health to get just as big as Haney, Dorian, or Ronnie pound for pound.

    Who knows why Shawn …
Who knows why Shawn never won the Olympia, but it certainly wasn’t because he didn’t train hard enough or heavy enough, as he did EVERYTHING he could to be the best he could be on the day of the show.

“He put more effort in his quest to gain the most muscle mass and did some of it during PRECONTEST!!!”

As if muscle mass is all that matters or that mass is more important than any other aspect of your physique.

Shawn never just tried to mindlessly gain mass. Size for the sake of size is not

    So, clearly, there …
So, clearly, there should be a huge difference in strength and Ronnie purposely trained with heavier weight, sometimes only doing sets of 2 reps.

Shawn never trained like that, he never felt the need to as he knew he was a Bodybuilder and not a Powerlifter, but I think, pound for pound, Shawn just about maximized his strength. He did the best he could do with what he had to work with And, obviously, what he did worked well for him and what Ronnie did worked well for him.

    I’m sure that Shawn …
I’m sure that Shawn, Flex, and Kevin would each have at least one Sandow Trophy and Haney, Dorian, and Ronnie would have less.

    But, unfortunately, we’ll never know.

As far as weight goes, obviously, it’s all relative.

Shawn is 5′7 and anywhere from 205-215lbs on stage and usually starts dieting at about 230lbs.

Ronnie is 5′10 or 5′11(not sure) and he competes at about 270-300lbs. and I’m sure he’s well over 300lbs. in the offseason.

    Well, I can’t speak …
Well, I can’t speak for Flex because I haven’t seen too much of his training, but as far as Shawn goes, he definitely left it all in the gym, just like I’m sure Ronnie did, he even said so in his video The Final Countdown.

Do you honestly believe that Haney, Dorian, and Ronnie deserved ALL of their Olympia titles and that Shawn, Flex, and Kevin should have never won?

Obviously, if the IFBB did what Shawn suggested and rotated the judges every year,

  21. theshooter2000

    nothing in the gym. …
nothing in the gym. Hence, he won. He put more effort in his quest to gain the most muscle mass and did some of it during PRECONTEST!!! My point about Franco was that he worked his off lifting heavy weight and had the physique to prove it.

I doubt what the losers of a contest know. They don’t know how to win the big one.
“Everybody wanna be a bodybuilder, don’t nobody wanna lift this heavy weight!” -Ronnie Coleman
Start lifting heavy weights and you’ll win.

    C’mon Haney was …
C’mon Haney was unequalled during his time and so was Ronnie. Dorian had stiff competition, but the judges liked him better. Guess what, in objective sports good teams win championships, sometimes multiple times in a row.

My point with the weight count is that a guy who lifts that much weight is gonna be more dense and harder than you. Ronnie put everything he had into his workouts. Flex and Shawn worked hard, but if you look at the difference between them and Ronnie you see that Ronnie left

    First, duly noted.

    First, duly noted.

    Second, fine.

The bottomline is that Shawn didn’t win and he made excuse after excuse why it was so. I’m no Dorian fan, but you can’t discredit some judges and credit others with no credible evidence. He basically doesn’t trust the system which said he was good enough to get in the olympia. He’s saying that the system that thought he was qualified for the Olympia is wrong. So should he even be in the Olympia??

  24. drwdak

    2010 Mar 03 24

    and means nothing …
and means nothing by the time they step on stage.

And yes, guys like Samir Bannout, Chris Dickerson, Franco Columbu, and Frank Zane have all won the Mr. Olympia, that was all in a completely different era where a much more complete physique was being rewarded over sheer mass.

And, lastly, are you seriously doubting how much Shawn and Flex, who are the two greatest bodybuilders ever in my opinion, know?

    Who are you again?

  25. drwdak

    2010 Mar 03 25

    the Olympia.

    As it …
    the Olympia.

As it was, with the same 12 judges every year, that is how you wind up with repeat champions with Haney for 8 years, Dorian for 6, and Ronnie for 8.

Theses same judges obviously like what they like(mass) and their opinions aren’t going to change.

No, neither Shawn nor Flex could Squat or Deadlift 800+ lbs., but who cares? At the end of the day, that means nothing. The last time I checked, this was Bodybuilding, not Powerlifting, so the weight is really irrelevant
