<br />Don&#8217;t bulk up. Very big muscles tend to consume a lot of energy and oxygen. You&#8217;ll gas out easily. Focus on strength and also cardio workouts.</p>

<p>This is a tricep workout that myself and Lee Hayward did while working out on vacation in Las Vegas. The small hotel gym we were training at had a limited amount of equipment (i.e. an adjustable bench, dumbbell rack, and some resistance machines). So this entire tricep workout is done using just dumbbell exercises only.</p>
<p>We used the Positions Of Flexion style of training which starts with a mid-range compound exercise (rolling db extensions), then goes into a fully streched exercise (overhead db extenstions), and finishes up with a peak contraction exercise (db tricep kick backs).</p>

If I start holding a 3 pound weight in each hand while I run, will it help me put some definition into my upper body? If so, what muscles will it effect (biceps, triceps, pecs, abs, shoulders…)? Thanks.<br />
<br />No.  To build muscle you need to eat more protein and lift heavy things.  A three pound weight is not a heavy thing.</p>

You could try and figure out how to do this on your own by talking to other bodybuilders or researching online, but a trainer will be able to pay more attention to you.</p>
<p>However, you will probably waste a lot of time and may end up hurting yourself. A professional trainer can help you come up with the correct workout for you. You will also want to find out whatever information that you can on your own. Educate yourself on bodybuilding. </p>
<p>Second, without the right diet you will not get the results that you want. You will need to eat a high protein diet and eat plenty of carbohydrates. The protein will help you build muscle and the carbohydrates will help you keep your energy level up during your workouts. </p>
